Recruitment and Membership

 

‘Pagsirang’ is the recruitment and membership program of Sining Banwa. There are two recruitment seasons in a year – April and December – but walk-in aspirants may apply anytime of the year. The group also makes call for application during its performances. Apprenticeship period is at least six months, including involvement in productions, workshops, and special projects.

 

'Pagsirang' culminates with a batch of successful apprentices taking their oath of commitment one early morning facing ‘sirangan’ (the east) which symbolizes the start of their new journey as full-fledged junior members of Sining Banwa.
